In a small bowl, whisk all the sauce ingredients together. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix the garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper together. Evenly sprinkle onto the salmon fillets and gently pat the seasoning mix down onto the fillets.
In a large cast iron skillet, heat up the one tablespoon olive oil over medium high heat.
Add the seasoned salmon fillets to sear for 3 minutes on each side. Remove from cast iron on to a plate.
Add the sauce mixture into the cast iron skillet and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the salmon fillets back into the cast iron skillet. Using a spoon, coat the salmon fillets in sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until salmon is fully cooked.
